Cowgirl Smocked Bishop Dress Debut at State Fair of Texas
Kaylee Jane's first State Fair of Texas! Age 1 year.
We couldn't wait to wear our favorite cowgirl smocked bishop dress and cowgirl boots! Yeehaw Ya'll!
Remember if you are planning a visit, children under 2 are free. Visit State Fair of Texas
Here is a photo recap of our trip.
First things first of course..
We found Big Tex! I remember Big Tex from when I was a little girl and this was special to snap a quick pic together as a family.
Big Tex says "Howdy Folks, Welcome to The State Fair of Texas"
Q: Did you know Big Tex is the world's tallest cowboy?
Guess how tall?!
A: He is 55 feet tall!
Whoa!
It was very sunny outside and crowded.
We found a shady spot to keep Kaylee Jane out of the direct sunlight and had a picture with him in the background. I think this worked marvelously and I will treasure these photos forever.
We had so much fun visiting Big Tex.
Kaylee Jane loves new textures and we made a stop at the Shopping Pavilions. I love the shopping locations because they have air conditioning and plenty to see and experience.
Q: How many shopping pavilions?
A: 18 dedicated locations within Fair Park
Want to see a uniquely Texan booth?
Here we go!
Western wear meets cowhide booth! We found a booth filled with beautiful cowhide rugs.
This dress was perfect indoors and out! The weather was 80 degrees, so the dress was lightweight and cool.
There is so much to see and do at the fair.
Did you know?
1. Tickets are the way you pay throughout the fair if you want to purchase food, drinks, and there are special ride coupons. These never expire so if you leave the fair, you can bring them back next year!
2. There is comfortable baby care stations to tend to your baby along the way whether its changing or feeding time. Theres also areas to charge your phone!
3. Fried Oreos are my favorite!
